Long weekend brings rough weather in the final weeks of harvest
It could be a difficult long weekend for farmers still out in the fields.
According to Environment Canada, heavy rain is expected across much of north-central Saskatchewan, with up to 60 millimetres in the forecast.
The heaviest amounts are expected north of Prince Albert, Meadow Lake and Nipawin.
It’s been a difficult year for farmers dealing with a wide range of conditions, including drought, flooding, a late spring and heavy rain.
