Trojans add young Saskatoon defenceman

Nov 3, 2026 | 5:40 PM

For the second time in the last week, the Tisdale Trojans have added another young player to their roster.

After picking up Nash Bullman this past week, Tisdale has now grabbed defenceman Cole Evans.

Evans comes from the U18AA Saskatoon Riverkings, having spent the first six games of the season with his hometown team. In those six contests, Evans had a goal and seven assists.

The 15-year-old has prior SMAAAHL experience, having suited up for six matches with the Contacts last year.

Now two games into his Trojans career, having played in both of Tisdale’s matches this past weekend against Notre Dame, in which they split against the Hounds, the six-foot, 165-pound blueliner is still searching for his first point at the U18 AAA level.

Evans is part of a big hockey family, as his older brother Jake is currently a member of the WHL’s Lethbridge Hurricanes, his father Blake played professionally in the AHL and in Europe, and his cousin Jett suits up in Alberta with the CSSSHL’s Calgary Edge School U18 Prep club.
