Corbett and Knoop win 2019 Left/Right Tournament

The annual Gary Brandon Left Right tournament took place at the Melfort Golf and Country Club from Friday, June 7 to Sunday, June 9.

The 34th annual event featured 64 teams with players from Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba, and British Columbia participating in the event. Friday’s golf was for qualifying, as teams played best ball to see what flight they would play in on Saturday and Sunday.

A playoff was needed to claim the last spot in the Championship flight as four teams qualified at 71. The team of Jason Corbett and Chris Knoop came out on top in the playoff, and then went on to win the whole tournament as well. It is the teams first Left Right title.

Teams played match play on Saturday and Sunday, with two matches on Saturday, and the finals on Sunday.
