Carlisle leads men, Fry leads women at Junior Provincials
Round one is in the books at the Saskatchewan Junior Golf Provincials at the Nipawin Evergreen Golf Course.
On the men’s side of the tournament, Estevan’s Jade Carlisle is the leader after firing five birdies on Tuesday. He also had two bogeys on his card to sit at three-under par. His next closest competitors are Case Gedak, also of Estevan, and Griffin Wilson of Swift Current who both sit at one-over par.
LeRoy’s Carter Timmerman is tied for 24th heading into the second round. He was 13-over par after his first round.
On the women’s side, Brooklyn Fry out of Shell Lake is the leader after day one. She had two birdies on the day as well as an eagle, but ended up shooting three-over, thanks to a couple bogeys as well. Autumn Neiszner of Regina is three-shots back of Fry after firing a six-over round.
