Nipawin Street Fair and parade kicking off exhibition week
The Town of Nipawin and the Nipawin Exhibition Association will host a parade and street fair to kick off exhibition week.
Nearly two blocks on First Avenue East in downtown Nipawin will be blocked off on Sunday, July 14 for the street fair that features food trucks, beer gardens, craft vendors, children’s activities, a car show, and a Tragically Hip tribute band – The 100th Meridian – as the entertainment headliner.
Chelsea Carrigan, Nipawin’s director of parks and recreation, said travellers passing through the town will have ways to get around the blocked off road.
“You will be able to turn off and go Railway Avenue East or Second Avenue East to get around that street closure,” she said. “I think it will be a great event, there will be lots of people out and about, and we hope to see a lot of people there.”
