Auditions for The Real Inspector Hound

Spark Theatre is holding auditions for “The Real Inspector Hound” on the following days:
Monday, January 13th and Tuesday, January 14th, from 6 until 8:00 p.m. at the Margo Fournier Centre.

“The Real Inspector Hound” will be performed March 19th to 21st at the EA Rawlinson Centre for the Arts, directed by Roxanne Dicke.

The audition format is cold read.

Rehearsals will begin quite soon after auditions.

Cast information is below, following the synopsis.

SYNOPSIS: Feuding theatre critics Moon and Birdboot, the first a fusty philanderer and the second a pompous and vindictive second stringer, are swept into the whodunit they are viewing. In the hilarious spoof of Agatha Christie-like melodramas that follows, Moon and Birdfoot become dangerously implicated in the lethal activities of an escaped madman.

  • MRS. DRUDGE – housekeeper of Muldoon Manor (character in the play Birdboot and Moon are reviewing)
  • SIMON – a visitor to Muldoon Manor (character in the play Birdboot and Moon are reviewing)
  • FELICITY – one of Simon’s lovers (character in the play Birdboot and Moon are reviewing)
  • CYNTHIA – another of Simon’s lovers (character in the play Birdboot and Moon are reviewing)
  • MAGNUS – the crippled half-brother to Lord Muldoon (character in the play Birdboot and Moon are reviewing)

INSPECTOR HOUND – detective inspecting a murder at Muldoon Manor (character in the play Birdboot and Moon are reviewing).
