Police find body of missing Carrot River man, investigating suspicious death

UPDATE: A missing Carrot River man who was reported missing in Calgary has been found dead.

The body of 47-year-old Sheldon Wolf was discovered Tuesday in a rural area north of Airdrie, Alta.

Police said Wolf’s death is considered suspicious and is being investigated as a homicide.

Wolf was reported missing after failing to return to his hotel in Calgary on Sunday.

A man from Carrot River who was visiting Calgary, Alta. has been reported missing.

Calgary Police posted on Facebook today 47-year-old Sheldon Wolf was last seen on Sunday, Feb. 2 leaving the Sandman Hotel at 888 Seventh Avenue S.W. in Calgary. That was around 7 p.m. and he has not been heard from since.

Wolf is described as about 5-9, 200 pounds, with brown and grey hair with grey eyes. He also has the letter ‘J’ tattooed on his right hand.

Anyone with information on Wolf’s whereabouts is asked to contact Calgary Police or Crime Stoppers.
