Wellness Centre Update

Melfort Wellness Centre welcoming new tenant

The Melfort Wellness Centre will soon be almost completely occupied.

The facility attached to the Melfort Hospital opened in 2017, and it was constructed by Avatex, the same company that initiated the StoneGate Shopping Centre.

Avatex sales manager Gord Dmytruk told northeastNOW the Wellness Centre has been a great success.

“Fourteen doctors, we have a Rexall Drugs there, we have a denturist who is doing extremely, extremely well, we have a new Simply Be Counselling with Jason Normand starting up,” Dmytruk said.

There is a 736 sq. ft. unoccupied space remaining in the Wellness Centre. Dmytruk said he believes a laser clinic or cosmetics would do well out of that space.

Anyone looking for franchising in those areas can call Gord at 306-321-4829.

Dmytruk said the Wellness Centre continues to work well for both patients and doctors. He said a group of people got off a bus and were grateful they could see the doctor and go get a blood test in the same building.

“Great also for the emergency, the doctors, they can walk across to the hospital or to their offices and everything is in one area, so it’s coming along really, really well and we’re grateful to have it,” Dmytruk said.

He said constructing a new facility allowed Avatex to do what needs to be done, instead of having to retrofit another building.

“It’s been a great success for Melfort, and I believe for Avatex as well,” Dmytruk said.
