Man charged after bomb squad removes dangerous items from Regina Superstore
Regina police have arrested and charged a 23-year-old man in connection with explosives left at an east Regina Superstore Friday.
Around 10:50 a.m., police received a call from a person in the 2000 block of Prince of Wales reporting a possible explosive device.
The Regina Police and RCMP explosives disposal units were called and found what police called “items dangerous to the public” in a vehicle in the parking lot and in the store, according to a police media release.
“Due to public safety concerns a portion of Victoria Avenue East was shut down while a team of EDU (explosive disposal units) members worked to make the vehicle safe,” the release said.
