65-year-old woman dies in crash near Wadena

A Wadena area woman is dead after a collision on highway 5 east of the community last night.
RCMP, EMS, and Fire Services responded to the crash between an eastbound truck and a westbound semi shortly before 4 p.m. The two vehicles came to rest in opposite ditches.
The 65-year-old woman who was driving the truck was pronounced dead at the scene. The 61-year-old man from the United States who was driving the semi received minor injuries.
The highway has re-opened since being closed during the investigation. RCMP are continuing to investigate with the assistance of RCMP Collision Reconstructionist.
