Nail salon officially opening on Tuesday in Melfort

A new nail salon is set to open Tuesday in the City of Melfort.

Phantastic Nails is located on Burrows Ave. W and will operate every day of the week.

Owner Van Tran told northeastNOW the set-up at the salon took about three months time for herself and her husband Bryan.

“We like to live in Melfort because it is not too noisy,” Tran said. “Every time we visit here it is very nice landscape and people here are friendly.”

Phantastic Nails has locations in Moose Jaw, Estevan, Swift Current, and Yorkton.

The Melfort location was originally set to open on Nov. 10 but some slight delays has led to the new opening date of Nov. 16 following a public health inspector check.

A Facebook page for Phantastic Nails in Melfort was created in September and from that, the feedback has been good so far according to Tran.

“When on Facebook, I think everybody likes it and are excited,” Tran said. “We do have some customers for tomorrow, and it is booking up and is quite good.”

If the salon isn’t too busy, they can take walk-ins but calling ahead is a good idea.

“We take groups for pedicures, and we can take six pedicures per time so they can sit together and relax and talk,” Tran said.

Tran said they are excited for the location of the salon because it is down from city hall, across from the movie theatre, and next to Coldwell Banker.
