Prince Albert Police responded to 234 calls for service over the weekend and made 46 arrests, two of which were for evading police and possession of methamphetamine.

On May 3 around 5 p.m. officers found a stolen truck in the alley of the 1000 block of Branion Drive. A man fled from the driver’s seat on foot when officers approached the vehicle.

The suspect was arrested after a brief foot pursuit. A 25-year-old man was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of ammunition, resisting arrest and breach of a court order. He is set to appear in court today.

Three days later, in an unrelated case, officers stopped a vehicle in the 400 block of Eighth Street East and arrested a man for possession of methamphetamine.

Police seized 5.3 grams of methamphetamine along with drug paraphernalia.

A 38-year-old Humboldt man was charged with possession of methamphetamine and is set to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.
