Three charged after traffic stop in Nipawin

Nipawin and Smeaton RCMP have charged three people after a traffic stop in the Town of Nipawin.

On Monday, May 20, as a result of the traffic stop, RCMP found 63 grams of methamphetamine, 23 hydromorphone pills, and 68 buprenorphone pills. Crews also found bear spray, drug paraphernalia, and other items consistent with drug trafficking.

Chance Keller of Naicam was charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possessing a weapon dangerous to the public.

Brittany Simonson of Naicam was charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, breach of a conditional sentence order, and possessing a weapon dangerous to the public.

Zack Nowlin of Nipawin was charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possessing a weapon dangerous to the public.

All three were in Nipawin Provincial Court on Wednesday, May 22 and will appear again on Wednesday, May 29.
