City of Melfort provides update on road work

Weekend driving in Melfort should be a bit easier as the City of Melfort plans to open routes currently closed due to road work.
The city said via a release that the intersection of Saskatchewan Dr. and Broadway Ave. should be open at some point during Friday morning. The rest of Saskatchewan drive is set to re-open by the end of the day Friday. Crews will continue work on the road as they replace curbs along the road. The re-paving of Saskatchewan Dr. has multiple components and will continue throughout the summer.
As for other construction in the city, the water line replacement along Main St. between the 700 and 900 blocks is complete. The city expects that stretch of road to be open by the end of the day on Friday as well. However, that area will be subject to closure again next week as there will be repaving in that area.
