Mustangs ship Cox to Kindersley

Oct 21, 2022 | 10:26 AM

The Melfort Mustangs have traded 2003-born forward Logan Cox to the Kindersley Klippers in exchange for a Player Development Fee.

Cox, a Prince Albert, Sask. Product, spent parts of three seasons with Melfort playing 52 regular season games, scoring six goals, and adding 12 assists for 18 points.

The 6’1″, 166-pound forward would also play in six playoff games for Melfort in 2021-22, notching one assist.

In a statement sent by the Mustangs, they “thanked Logan for his contributions on and off the ice and we wished him all the best in Kindersley.”

The 4-6-4-0 Mustangs are back in Melfort this weekend, as they host the 8-7-0-0 Estevan Bruins for a pair of games this weekend, at the Palace.

The first of two games goes Friday, while the latter goes tomorrow, Saturday. Both opening faceoffs are set for 7:30 p.m.
