Another former Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) store has been sold in the northeast.

SLGA announced their most recent round of store selloffs which included one in Biggar and one in Watrous, for a combined $800,000.

The one in Watrous sold for $450,000 to Cost Cannabis Inc. According to them, “they have no immediate plans for the desired use of the building”.

This was the second time SLGA has sold stores across the province, as they previously sold off seven, which included one in Humboldt.

Other locations were in the communities of Esterhazy, La Ronge, Buffalo Narrows, Creighton, Carlyle, and Moosomin. All nine of those properties were sold for a total of $2,885,000.

SLGA Retail Inc. owned 19 of its 34 store properties, with five of those buildings being repurposed for other government organizations.

Buildings currently for sale are listed on the SLGA website. Properties currently up for sale include a store in Nipawin and a store in Assiniboia.

Meanwhile, the retail liquor store permits associated with SLGA Retail Inc. were sold through a public auction, back in February.
