Another week of Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League action has come and gone, which means another round of players of the week.

During these past seven days in particular it was a pair of teammates from the Humboldt Broncos who cracked the list, as well as a member of the La Ronge Ice Wolves.

For Humboldt in particular, two of their Broncos were at the top of the weekly scoring race.

Bourgault Forward of the Week: Matthew Van Blaricom, Humboldt Broncos

The one who topped that particular list was 2006-born Matthew Van Blaircom.

In three games for the Green and Gold, he found the back of the net in every single one, while also adding six assists, totalling a league-best nine points.

During that span, his team earned four out of a possible six points, as the Southey, Sask. product currently sits tied for sixth in the league in points (31) and solo-third in goals (17).

Bell, an 03-born forward, continued to prove the level of talent that Warman, Sask. produces, especially during his team’s midweek contest.

During a Wednesday road win in Weyburn against the Red Wings, he had a hat trick and two assists, before finishing off the week with three assists against the Melfort Mustangs during a home-and-home set.

The 20-year-old is now up to 10 goals and 18 assists on the season.
