Tisdale Trojans win third-straight elimination game to advance in playoffs

The Tisdale Trojans have completed the comeback.

Ryder Mucha had four goals and two assists as the Trojans dumped the Warman Wildcats 7-3 to win the deciding game five of their Saskatchewan Male AAA Hockey League (SMAAAHL) opening-round playoff series.

Jaxon Kehrig had two goals and three assists, while linemate Dayton Reschny had five helpers as the Trojans battled back from a 2-0 series deficit. Pryce Thiessen scored the other goal for Tisdale. Jackson Dunn made 32 saves for the win between the pipes.

The Trojans were outscored 14-3 in the first two games of the series against the Wildcats, who were ranked third heading into the playoffs.

The sixth-seeded Trojans advance to the second round, where they will face the top-seeded Saskatoon Blazers.
