The Town of Nipawin's vacant council seat has been filled.

Sheldon Chornawka ran unopposed and so won by acclamation. A by-election was called in January after former Councilor Ray Serack resigned, citing personal reasons.

Chief Administrative Officer Barry Elliot told northeastNOW Chornawka will be sworn in during Monday's council meeting.
