Bruce Schapansky Auctioneers in Tisdale will be monitoring Bids for Wishes a week-long online auction, where all proceeds go to Make-A-Wish Saskatchewan.

Barrie Jung, an auctioneer with Bruce Schapansky, told northeastNOW he’s friends with Make-A-Wish Saskatchewan’s regional manager Allyson Toye, and they came up with a plan after she asked him to watch over an auction.

“I did a function for them in Saskatoon a while back and listened to some of the stories from families, children, what they’ve gone through, and what Make a Wish has done for them,” Jung said. “We just thought that it would be a real good opportunity to get together with them and help where we can.”

Jung said Bruce Shapansky Auctioneers isn’t new to helping charity groups, as they conduct live and online auctions on a regular basis regionally, including some for the Humboldt Broncos.
