Christmas fun is in store at the Tisdale Kinettes 11th annual craft and trade show

Nov 13, 2019 | 1:09 PM

For the 11th year, the Tisdale Kinettes are hosting their craft and trade show this weekend.

Over 50 vendors will be set up at the Tisdale RecPlex from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Organizer Trina Bailey said both days have very special features.

“We are hosting our sip and shop for all of the ladies. We will be giving free champagne and we have a really nice door prize from Tisdale Florists for that evening,” Bailey said.

The sip and shop takes place from 6 to 8 p.m.

On Saturday, there will be face painting for the kids as well as photos with Santa with proceeds going to Telemiracle 44. The Santa photos are taking place from 10 a.m. until noon, and then again from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. for $10 a picture. A kids craft with Mrs. Claus also takes place at the same times as the Santa photos.

The deadline for the kids colouring contest is at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Pictures can be picked up at the Beeland Coop and Buy Low Foods in Tisdale.

There will also be a waffle breakfast on Saturday morning beginning at 9 a.m. The concession will be open with soups, chilli, buns, sweets, specialty coffees and more.

The show is at capacity with the large number of vendors for this year but Bailey said they are able to set up some tables in the foyer as well.

“We have new and exciting vendors that we haven’t had before so that will hopefully bring in some new people to check it out,” Bailey said.

Tickets will be available at the trade show for the annual Christmas cheer baskets.

This is one of the biggest fundraisers for the group along with their annual steak and lobster night according to Bailey.

As for other fundraisers for Telemiracle, the Tisdale Kinettes have catered for a cause and plan to host a bowling evening in the winter, and a pancake and waffle breakfast on the morning of telethon. This Year, Telemiracle is taking place in Regina.
