Major storm pummels Melfort with rain

A significant storm has passed through the Melfort area.

Much of the rain fell shortly after 1 p.m.

Envrionment Canada’s severe thunderstorm watch in the Melfort region soon turned into a severe thunderstorm warning, which was quickly followed by torrential rain.

The onslaught of rain led to significant amounts of water pooling on city streets, including the corner of Main St. and Higgins Ave.
