Wadena Water Advisory
Wadena under second water advisory in three weeks
Aug 8, 2020 | 10:37 AM
For the second time in nearly three weeks, the Town of Wadena has been placed under a precautionary drinking water advisory.
The advisory – which was placed on Saturday, Aug. 8 and is in effect until further notice – is due to “higher than normal turbidity levels.” It’s the third drinking water advisory for the Town of Wadena in 2020.
The Water Security Agency encourages residents to:
- Boil all drinking water at a rolling boil for at least one minute.
- Use boiled water for teeth brushing, washing produce, and making ice cubes.
- Not use nonboiled water for washing dishes.
- Not drink from public water fountains.
- Bathe younger children and infants via sponge.
- Use an alternate, safe water source.
- Consult their physician if they have severe cuts or rashes prior to using water.
