No municipal elections needed in Kelvington, Naicam as candidates acclaimed

Residents in two local communities will not have to go to the polls for the municipal election Nov. 13.

The Town of Kelvington’s incumbent mayor will return to council after running unopposed.

Greg Standish will be joined in the council chambers by incumbent councillors Janice Housden, Kim Nicholls, Faye Patrick, and Garry Sutter and newcomers Kevin Fredsberg and Bernadine Grona.

Longtime mayor Rodger Hayward will be back as he also ran unopposed.

Bev Hardy returns as a councillor, while Courtney Bachiu, Bruce Guttormson, Melissa Kreutzwieser, Lillian Meekins, and Jack Ramler will join her on council.

Meanwhile, the City of Humboldt is looking for election workers.
