Melfort Special Olympics curling team receives support from Rotary Club of Melfort

The Melfort Special Olympics curling team has received a donation from the Rotary Club of Melfort.
Coach Brian Kjelshus and curler Scott Earl accepted a $500 cheque from District Governor Peter Tonge at their meeting Oct. 22.
The Saskatchewan team will take part in an upcoming national competition in Whitehorse, and the money will be used to help cover expenses.
Tonge also addressed the crowd at the meeting at the Salvation Army. Rotarian Gailmarie Anderson said Tonge spoke about Rotary International’s Action Plan, and the District’s plan under the motto ‘Service Above Self’.
