Burn barrel blast sparks grass fire near Hudson Bay

The Hudson Bay Fire Department was called to a grass fire Tuesday afternoon. 

The department said a property owner was burning garbage in a burn barrel, and an item inside the barrel exploded. 

The fire rapidly began to spread throughout the surrounding grass and underneath several nearby vacant buildings. 

Crews contained the fire and prevented it from spreading, and all buildings involved were unoccupied.
