Melfort manslaughter case briefly back in court

A Melfort man charged with manslaughter will have his case back in court next month. 

Tom Cook, 43, faces the charge in connection to the death of 36-year-old Sam Stonestand at an apartment in the 100 block of Broadway Ave. S. on May 2. 

The defendant has been remanded by consent.

The defence is waiting for disclosure items from the Crown and requested an adjournment. 

The case will be in Melfort Provincial Court again June 8.
