Five graduating players from the Nipawin Hawks’ 2025–26 campaign are set to continue their hockey careers at the post-secondary level this fall.

Captain Finley Radloff, assistant captains Erich Hoiness and Carter Anderson, along with Brady Seabrook and Braeden Jockims, have all made commitments to programs across Canada and the United States.

Radloff headed to Red Deer Polytechnic

Nipawin native Finley Radloff will remain in Alberta, joining the Red Deer Polytechnic Kings of the ACAC.

The 2005-born forward spent parts of five seasons with his hometown club, collecting 121 points (65 goals, 56 assists) in 216 games.

“I’m super excited to go to Red Deer,” Radloff said. “They’ve got a great history of winning, and I’ve got that itch to win. There’s a lot of SJHL talent on that roster, which gives me confidence in the transition.”

Radloff also reflected on his time in Nipawin.

“If you told me at 17 I’d be captain of the Hawks, I wouldn’t have believed it. I’m really appreciative of my time here. Now I get to have a taste of the real world soon, away from home.”

Hoiness commits to University of Regina

Another 2005-born forward, Hoiness suited up in 173 games over four seasons with the Hawks, registering 143 points (48 goals, 95 assists).

“I wanted to stay close to home, and I think their program is really turning things around,” he said. “Nipawin helped me grow as both a player and a person.”

Hoiness also praised the organization.

“The SJHL is a great league, and I’ve got nothing but great things to say about the Hawks. Any young player would be lucky to wind up there.”

Anderson joins Augustana Vikings

Calgary native Carter Anderson is heading to Camrose, Alta., where he’ll play for the University of Alberta Augustana Vikings (ACAC).

The 2005-born forward recorded 61 points (30 goals, 31 assists) across 112 games during two seasons in Nipawin.

“I’m really excited—it’s a great spot,” Anderson said. “I’ve lived in Camrose before, so it feels familiar. The facilities are great, and I’m looking forward to the next step.”

Anderson is also looking forward to next year’s Viking Cup.

“It’ll be great to play against Team SJHL. Hopefully, I’ll be facing some of my former teammates.”

Jockims off to NCAA Division III

Saskatoon’s Braeden Jockims has committed to the Milwaukee School of Engineering Raiders (NCAA Division III), where he’ll join his older brother, Rylan.

In 66 games over three seasons with the Hawks, the 2005-born forward posted 61 points (37 goals, 24 assists).

“It’s a dream come true to play with my brother because we’ve never played on the same team before,” Jockims said. “We’ve always supported each other, and hopefully pro hockey is something down the road.”

He also noted inspiration from his sister Kaitlin, who currently plays professional hockey in Switzerland.

Seabrook heads east to Ontario Tech

Rounding out the group is Yellowknife, N.W.T., product Brady Seabrook, who has committed to Ontario Tech University (U SPORTS).

The 2005-born defenceman recorded 30 points (nine goals, 21 assists) in 109 games over two seasons in Nipawin.

“I’m excited to advance to the next level and head out east,” Seabrook said. “I’ve got some family out there, so I’ll get to see them more often.

“I’m really grateful for my time in Nipawin and fortunate that I landed there. I met a lot of great people in that twon whom I hope to stay in contact with for a long time.”
