Humboldt Museum and Gallery receives Lt. Gov. Heritage Award
The Humboldt and District Museum and Gallery has received a 2026 Lieutenant Governor’s Heritage Award.
The honour was presented at Government House in Regina on June 24th.
The award from Heritage Saskatchewan is for the Original Humboldt Treaty Sculpture Project.
“The Original Humboldt Treaty Sculpture Project was honoured in the Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage category, which celebrates projects that preserve, share, and strengthen the living heritage, traditions, and stories that shape communities,” the City of Humboldt said in a news release. “The project was one of only seven recipients recognized across the province this year.”
