Yellow Quill First Nation murder case returns to court next month

A man charged with murder after a weekend homicide will have his case return to court next month.
Twenty-six–year-old Cole Smokeyday’s case was first heard in Melfort Provincial Court on Tuesday, and it will be back in court in Rose Valley Sept. 11.
Smokeyday is charged with second-degree murder, assault, and uttering threats.
Rose Valley RCMP were called about an injured person at a home on the Yellow Quill First Nation on Sunday afternoon.
