High School football playoffs continue on Saturday

Local high school football semi-finals are on the schedule for Saturday.

The Melfort Comets look to continue their undefeated season as they host Lumsden in 4A 9-man action.

Both teams were 6-0 in the regular season.

Melfort is coming off a 98-24 win over Fort Qu’Appelle in the first playoff round, while Lumsden downed Humboldt 59-7.

The Tisdale Tornadoes will travel to Delisle in the other semi-final. Tisdale beat Melville 35-20 last week, while Delisle edged Shaunavon 29-25.

In the 2A 6-man semis, Wakaw will welcome Southey. The Warriors outscored Unity 66-53 last weekend, and Southey beat Watrous 42-33.

Clavet visits Rosetown in the other semi.

St. Brieux heads to Hanley in 1A 6-man playoff action, with the Crusaders coming off a 58-14 win over Kerrobert.

Lemberg faces Hafford in the other semi-final.
