SHA reports $3,000 loss in Wakaw

Feb 3, 2025 | 9:51 AM

A list of losses within Saskatchewan health organizations has been released, and there was one local loss.

An internal loss sometime between March and August was reported by the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) in Wakaw.

The news release said various medical supplies were reported missing and presumed stolen from an SHA site.

The items were valued at $3,000.

The report said the health authority implemented tighter controls in the affected areas.

That included securing a supply room with a lock and sign-out sheet, reducing the number of supplies kept in treatment and clinic rooms, and increasing manager presence during extended hours.
