Single vehicle crash near Shannon Lake result of medical event

The Yellow Creek Fire Department (YCFD) was called to a single vehicle crash on Highway 41 on Wednesday.

Just before 5 p.m., crews were dispatched to the crash near Shannon Lake, southwest of Melfort.

The YCFD said the driver experienced a medical event which resulted in a loss of vehicle control.

The driver and lone occupant was able to exit the vehicle by themselves and sustained no injuries as a result of the crash.

A YCFD member took the individual to meet Wakaw EMS due to the medical event, and the department said the individual is receiving the medical attention they are needing.
