Local hockey teams close out their pre-Christmas schedules

The Tisdale Trojans lost 3-1 in Saskatoon against the Blazers on Friday night.

Jacob Tait scored his 20th of the season for the Trojans, who lost to the Blazers 4-0 on Thursday.

Tisdale is 12-16-1-0 heading into the Christmas break, and they will host the Prince Albert Mintos on Boxing Day.

Those teams are tied in the standings with 25 points.

In the PJHL, the Carrot River Outback Thunder were supposed to play a pair of games on the weekend, but their game against the Saskatoon Royals on Friday was postponed due to weather.

They lost 7-3 to the Saskatoon Quakers on Saturday.

Gavin Bodnarchuk scored twice for the Thunder, and Jaylen Knelsen had the other Carrot River goal.

Dominic Smith made 41 saves for the Thunder, who are now 10-14-0-1.

They are off until Jan. 2.

The North East U18 AA Wolfpack lost twice on the weekend, including a 5-1 setback in Warman on Friday.

Blake Partyka scored the lone Wolfpack goal, and John Gall made 46 saves.

North East lost 5-3 to Martensville on Saturday.

Ethan Janzen had a hat-trick for all three Wolfpack goals.

Kane Huston stopped 42 shots for the Wolfpack, who will host Warman in Melfort on Jan. 2.
