Thunder drop two, Wolfpack split weekend games

The Carrot River Outback Thunder dropped both games this week in PJHL action.

They fell 4-1 to the Prince Albert Timberjaks Friday night, with Kieran Hardie scoring the lone Thunder goal.

Carrot River outshot PA 37-18 in the loss.

The Thunder dropped a 9-5 decision to Martensville on Sunday.

Kaleb Zacher, Lukas Tuplin, Dylon Clarke, Jaylen Knelsen, and AJ Trew scored for Carrot River, as they fall to 10-16-0-1 on the season.

The North East U18 AA Wolfpack split their games on the weekend.

They lost 6-4 to the Warman Wildcats in Tisdale Friday night.

Jonas Markwart, Hayle Dennis, Chase Skopliak, and Nixon Coleman scored for the Wolfpack, who couldn’t hold onto their 3-2 lead in the third period.

John Gall made 50 saves for the Wolfpack in the loss.

On Saturday, the Wolfpack edged North West 6-5 in overtime.

Hayle Dennis scored his second goal of the game in the extra frame to seal the win.

Colt Hrebeniuk, Zack Kirkland, Taylor Coleman, and Nixon Coleman also scored for the Wolfpack, while Kane Huston made 53 saves.
