Suspect in Cumberland House arson remains in custody

The man charged after a house fire in Cumberland House this week will spend the weekend behind bars.

Justin Sewap, 36, will have a show cause hearing in La Ronge June 4 after his case was in court in Nipawin on Thursday. 

Sewap faces four counts of attempted murder and four counts of arson with disregard for human life atter a house fire Tuesday night. 

One person was taken to hospital with serious injuries, and four others were asssessed at the scene by EMS personnel.
