Hawks host annual general meeting to cap 2025 season
The Nipawin Hawks held their annual general meeting (AGM) with a small crowd of attendees Tuesday at the Centennial Arena.
Mike Peifer remained on as president of the organization after taking over partway last season. After the meeting, he stressed the importance of rehiring Tad Kozun as head coach and general manager.
“Yes, it was, it was very hard and grueling contract discussions, but we got it done,” he said.
Finances are always an important topic for any non-profit organizations. The Hawks currently sit with over $250,000 in fund balances, down roughly $40,000 from 2024. Peifer said budgeting a million dollars for a community of 4,000 people is not an easy task.
