Main intersection closed in Nipawin while water treatment plant work reaches completion
A main intersection in Nipawin will experience a closure for a few days as the final stage of the new water treatment plant work is underway.
Starting on Wednesday, the intersection of Sixth Street East and Maple Road will be closed. Town crews will be conducting work to accommodate underground infrastructure tie-ins.
Director of Works and Utilities Blaine Crowley said this is an important stage of the plant project.
“We are tieing into those underground lines as another access to distribution for the town so we will end up with three distribution points now with the new plant,” Crowley said.
