Lakeside Music Festival

The 5^th annual Waskesiu Lakeside Music Festival (August 23-25) is just over a week away.

We have a fantastic line-up of bands on Saturday, including our headliners (Bombargo), along with The Steadies, Lisa Moen, Velvet Hand, Corner Grass, The Great Fuss, The Strong Sisters, and Raven Reid. Free live music will start at 11:00 a.m. and continue until about 10 p.m. on Saturday night.

There is a cabaret on Friday night at the Waskesiu Community Hall (hosted by Friends of the Park), and a Festival after-party cabaret on Saturday night at Terrace Gardens (hosted by the Grey Owl Center). Information about the cabarets is on the poster attached and on the Lakeside Festival webpage.

For the first time ever we also have a wonderful display of Indigenous talent being showcased on Sunday, August 25^th (from 11-2 p.m.) on Waskesiu Drive, across from the Twin Pines Theatre. Performers include a hoop dancer and drummers, traditional dancers and drummers, a Metis fiddler and jiggers, and more.
