North East SPCA looking forward to busy 2020
The calendar has turned to 2020 and it looks to be a busy year for the North East SPCA (NESPCA).
The most notable event from 2019 though was the opening of the Harry and Eve Vickar Shelter in Melfort in September. Shelter Manager Kristy Mason said they hit the ground running after opening the shelter.
“We have tons of cats, and lots of dogs that are ready to go to their new homes,” she said. “We’re finishing up getting all of our stuff put in here and then we’re ready to rock.”
Mason said they still have a few little things that need to be done within the shelter. Getting fences put up outside, and finishing up the kitty condos are all on the SPCA’s list for 2020.
