Trump pardons Conrad Black for 2007 fraud conviction in U.S.
WASHINGTON — U.S. President Donald Trump has granted a full pardon to Conrad Black, a former newspaper publisher who has written a flattering political biography of Trump.
In a release Wednesday, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said Black “has made tremendous contributions to business, and to political and historical thought.”
The statement said those supporting Black’s pardon include former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, Sir Elton John, Rush Limbaugh and the late William F. Buckley, Jr., founder of the conservative magazine National Review.
