The Humboldt Broncos are celebrating one of their own as another alumnus commits to their post-secondary education.

Former Broncos defenceman, Cody Hough, announced his commitment to St. Norbert College for the upcoming season.

Before finishing off his junior career with the green and gold, Hough joined the Broncos for his rookie season in 2019-2020, racking up 24 points, four goals and 20 assists in 46 games.

During his time in the SJHL, Hough earned 54 points in 106 games while adding another five points in 13 playoff games.

“We’re very excited for Cody getting committed to St. Norbert. He’s worked extremely hard over the past three seasons with the Broncos,” said head coach and GM, Scott Barney in a press release. “He is a player that brings a lot of offensive intangibles that many players, especially defensemen, don’t possess. We’re happy for him and excited to follow his continued success on and off the ice.”

Hough told northeastNOW that he is still deciding between business or finance for his educational pursuits.

St. Norbert College is an NCAA DIV III team with five national championship wins to its name.

Hough is the ninth Broncos from the 2021-2022 season and the fifth graduating player, who is continuing their hockey career and post-secondary education.
