Minnoch wins SJHL’s Defenceman of the Month

The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) recently announced its Player of the Month winners, and it featured a Melfort Mustang.

Kevin Minnoch led the league in back-end scoring during the regular season and has continued to be a point producer for the blue and green during the Mustang’s playoff run.

In six postseason games last month, the Sherwood Park, Alta product had a goal and five assists and helped his club to a first-round series win over the La Ronge Ice Wolves.

Meanwhile, he had 10 points in 11 games during the 31-day stretch, earning himself the SJHL’s March edition of the SuperU Defenceman of the Month.

Minnoch started March off with a bang by earning three points against the Kindersley Klippers on the month’s first day, while only being held off the scoresheet twice the rest of the way.
