The Melfort Mustangs have climbed one spot in the final Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) Top 20 rankings list.

The Mustangs are now ranked number 11 in the country after winning their past nine games, including weekend wins over La Ronge and Nipawin.

Melfort closes out their regular season schedule in La Ronge on Saturday.

The Mustangs have clinched the second seed in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) playoffs.

The lone team ahead of Melfort in the SJHL standings, the Flin Flon Bombers, are ranked number two in the nation, behind the Collingwood Blues of the Ontario Junior Hockey League.

Both the Humboldt Broncos and Battlefords North Stars are honourable mentions on the final rankings of the season.
