Mustangs even the score with the Bombers

The Melfort Mustangs were looking for redemption Thursday night, following a tough loss to Flin Flon the previous night.

Home price proved to be an advantage as the Mustangs edged the Bombers 4-3 at the Northern Lights Palace.

Kalem Zary opened the scoring for the Mustangs at the 11:19 mark of the first period.  Nolan Kadachuk and Kayle Tosh assisted on the goal.

After two periods the game was tied at two. 

In the third period, Justin Ball went on the attack for the Mustangs, scoring two goals.  Flin Flon would score one more goal but the Mustangs were able to hold on for the win.

Hunter Arps stopped 25 shots for Melfort.

The Mustangs are back in action next Wednesday night, home to Estevan.
