Melfort man charged with homicide after weekend stabbing

A man faces a manslaughter charge after the death of a man in Melfort on the weekend. 

Melfort RCMP received a report of an assault with a weapon at an apartment in the 100 block of Broadway Ave. S. at around noon on Saturday. 

The initial investigation by the Saskatoon Homicide Investigation Unit determined that an altercation happened between two men in the apartment, and one man stabbed the other. 

The injured man was taken to hospital by EMS, where he later died.
