Mustangs 2026/27 schedule released

The schedule for the Ripley Ford Melfort Mustangs’ 2026/27 season has been officially released.

Melfort will once again begin its season at home when they welcome in their division rivals, the Nipawin Hawks, on Sept. 18.

Throughout the year, the Mustangs will then have four overnight trips spread throughout the season, as they head south for an Estevan/Weyburn trip twice, along with a West Saskatchewan visit to Kindersley/Battelfords a pair of times.

At most, the Stangs will play three road games in a row during the year, while their homestands will be longer, with four and five games in a row at the Northern Lights Palace.

The Blue and Green will conclude the 2026 portion of their campaign on Dec. 19 at home against the Hawks, before returning from Christmas Break on Jan. 1, for a New Year’s Day contest in Flin Flon against the defending champion Bombers.

Melfort will then conclude their regular season schedule in Nipawin, when they battle the Hawks on Mar. 12.

Overall, the Mustangs have a fairly balanced schedule as they’ll play 16 games at home and 15 on the road in 2026, before concluding their final 25 games in 2027, 12 of which will be at home, with 13 of them taking place on the road.

The Stangs will also have a fairly quiet end to their regular season, as they’ll play just three matches in the month of March.
