Storm aftermath

SaskTel experiencing wireless service outage in northeast Sask.

Jul 13, 2026 | 10:57 AM

Wireless SaskTel services are currently unavailable in several northeast communities.

SaskTel said the outage is due to storm-related damage to local power infrastructure.

Wireless services are unavailable in and around Marean Lake, Porcupine Plain, Greenwater, Weekes, Bertwell, Carrot River, and Pataigan. SaskTel said wireless services will be restored once commercial power has been safely restored to the affected areas.

In the event of an emergency, residents in the affected communities and areas may need to use alternative methods to contact emergency services until wireless and landline services are restored. This may include travelling to an area with service coverage or seeking assistance from local emergency response agencies.
