Teen charged after robbery attempt in Creighton

A teen has been arrested after a robbery investigation in Creighton. 

RCMP were called about a suspicious person on Creighton Ave. just after 6 p.m. on Wednesday. 

The investigation determined that a male approached two people outside, demanded their personal belongings, and threatened them. 

The suspect was wearing a face covering and was armed with a knife and left the scene on foot. 

There were no injuries.

The suspect was arrested nearby, and police seized a knife from him. 

He faces five charges, including robbery with a weapon. 

The teen, who appeared in court in La Ronge on Thursday, cannot be named as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
