Local high school football programs kicking off 2026 season

The high school football season across the northeast kicks off on Friday. 

In nine-a-side action, the Melfort Comets will travel to Nipawin to face the Nipawin L.P. Miller Bears. 

The Tisdale Tornadoes also hit the road as they face La Ronge. 

The Humboldt Mohawks host Delisle at 4 p.m. 

Humboldt kicked off their season with a 62-0 road win over Meadow Lake.
